Registration information

Two types of registration are generally available to either cover online or in person / on-site attendance in Hamburg. Note that registration fees for online participation only are exempt from VAT payments. The additional fees due to on-site participation include 19% VAT. The items will be mentioned separately on the invoice clearly stating the VAT. Reduced student registrations are also available. Please also see the registration information on ace2022.org/registration.

All who wish to attend the conference must register and pay the registration fee via the conference registration page. This includes online and on-site attendance.

Each accepted paper must be covered by one registration, otherwise the paper will not be included in the conference program and IFAC Papers Online. The registration fee must be paid within the deadline for final upload of accepted papers. Full registrations allow for the upload of up to two papers, student registrations include one paper.

The paper numbers associated to a registration must be stated in the appropriate field when purchasing the registration. For full registrations, maximum two papers are allowed. Student registrations include up to one final paper. It is the responsibility of the registering participant to clearly state the correct paper numbers when registering in order to ensure that the final versions of the papers can be uploaded. Please note that enabling the upload of the final paper on papercept requires manual handling of the conference organisers and may take up to one business day.

 

Payment options and payment recipient

Payments can be done using PayPal, credit card or direct bank transfer.

Note that the conference will be hosted by Förderverein Elektrotechnik und Informatik der HAW Hamburg e.V. (FvEI in short), which is a local organisation supporting teaching and learning in electrical engineering and computer science. Hence, payments via PayPal will be received by the treasurer of the organisation Klaus Jünemann (klaus.Juenemann@haw-hamburg.de).

Paying the registration fee via direct bank transfer is possible as an alternative to paying via PayPal or credit card. The following terms and conditions apply when paying via bank transfer:

  • transfers are to be made according to the following details:
    • account holder: Förderverein Elektrotechnik und Informatik der HAW Hamburg e.V.
    • IBAN: DE18 2005 0550 1214 1211 60
    • BIC: HASPDEHHXXX
    • purpose: ACE <Name of registered person> <paper number(s)> (e.g. ACE Miller 123 456)
  • All fees (if any) must be covered by the sender. Registrations are only considered to be successful if the full sum is received.
  • All registration fees are to be paid in Euros. Conversion fees (if any) due to transferring from an account in another currency must be covered by the sender.
  • It is the responsibility of the sender / conference participant wishing to register via bank transfer to start the bank transfer process in due time to ensure that the payment is received and accounted for before the registration deadline or final paper upload deadline. The conference organisers will not consider payments received after the deadline or will require the payment of a higher fee instead. (See the conference website for deadlines and registration fees.)
  • Registration fees received via direct bank transfer must be handled manually and will hence require a significantly longer processing time (up to one week). Participants wishing to speed up the process are invited to send an email including all relevant information and a receipt to prove the payment as soon as the transfer was made.
